Description:

Kiwifruit is not native to Canada, which means any kiwis I eat must be coming from overseas via imports. It just so happens that kiwis are native to China, one of Canada's largest trading partners. I was exposed to a new market, and had a positive impact on the environment as the kiwi I had eaten was organic, GMO-free. I would simply not be able to eat such fruit had globalization not existed.
