Instagram has become a widely spread site that millions of people use everyday. What makes Instagram so addictive and interesting is that fact that we can follow and keep updated with our favourite celebrities, because of globalization we are able to do this. This app and site has connected people from all over the world. This new age of technology allows people to keep up with the latest trends. When I visited my home country this summer, I was bombarded with my cousins showing videos and popular memes. Because of globalization, people from all over the world can experience and stay in tune with the new westernized culture that so many countries are opting to. I noticed how much the USA has an effect on those around the world by just talking to my cousins. I have realized they are up to date with trends like streetwear, to Drake’s “Keke Challenge”. Because of this spread of culture through Instagram, we are able to learn and see what the world is like through our tiny screens.
