Description:
The battle of Dien Bien Phu was the climactic confrontation of the first Indochina war between the French Union and Viet Minh revolutionaries. The battle began in march and ended in may 1954, overall the french suffered heavy losses and were defeated. The french began entering negotiations at the geneva convention to discuss the future of Indochina.
The French lost a maximum of 2,293 soldiers, and a maximum of 6,650 wounded. The Viet Minh lost a maximum of 4,020 revolutionaries, and 9,118 wounded.
