Charles Friend Bobby goes to the house of Gary Hinman who owes Bobby $1000 for a drug deal. A family member (one of three) who is with Bobby called Manson and asked for advice on what to do. Manson came to the house with a samurai sword and slashed Gary's face as well as cutting off his ear. When Bobby asked why Manson replied, "To show you how to be a man." Soon after Bobby returned to the house and shot Gary dead.Added to timeline:
