they thought they were being taxed too much, the people shouldnt be burdened for convering the tax of the war. daniel shay led an angry mob to federal arsenal in springfeild and they tried to take it over. they failed. this led the government to believe there would be more anarchy, so this led to the discarding of the articles of confederation
