Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden invaded HRE to support Protestants. Had a brilliant, disciplined army. Was supported by French Cardinal Richelieu, who hated the Habsburgs. He won the Battle of Breitenfeld (1631), also won the Battle of Lutzen (1632), but was killed.
