Description:
Mary Mallon was the first person identified to have the disease. Mallon worked as a cook infecting 51 one people, three of which died. In 1838, William Bud was responsible for treating ab outbreak when he realized that the disease was being transferred from contaminated water. Karl Joseph Ebert was the first to discover that bacillus was the cause of typhoid in 1880 later to be confirmed by Georg Gaffky. Almroth Edward Wright developed the first successful vaccine for military use in 1896. the introduction of vaccinations and improvements in public sanitation and hygiene decreased the typhoid fever as well as the addition of chlorine in drinking water.
The symptoms include;
Headache, nausea, constipation or diarrhea, loss of appetite, fever, and a rose-colored rash on the body.
