Description:

He determined that yellow fever had a 10-17 day incubation period. He took mosquito eggs from Finlay, let the hatch and then let them feed on yellow fever patients in Havana. The mosquitos were then allowed to feed on study volunteers for a period of 2 weeks and no one was infected. They then let another 2 days pass and let them feed on 2 new volunteers and they both got yellow fever and recovered. Lazear got sick in septemeber and died.
