The Great Compromise was the combination of two plans that had different views of how best to represent the people of the United States. It primarily defined how a state would be represented. The Great Compromise led to the creation of a Congress with two parts. The House of Representatives which is determined by a state’s population, and two representatives in the senate to represent each state.This reshaped the American government structure striking a balance between the demands of states with larger populations, and the demands of states with smaller ones.
