The Beatles song Helter Skelter is released. Manson believed that a war between Black and White people would start which would end in the Manson Family and a few African Americans would survive to be Manson's slaves. Manson listened to Helter Skelter over and over because he believed the Beatles wrote this as a message about the war. Because of this Manson named the war Helter Skelter.
