What is SARS?
Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome

Symptoms:
- High Temperature
- Muscle Aches
- Chills
- Dry cough/cough
- Malaise
- Problems Breathing, including shortness of breath
- Loss of Appetite
- Confusion
- Sore Throat
- Rash

Treatment:
- No specific treatments, no vaccine or antiviral drug exists.
- Specialized Care
- Sometimes supplemental oxygen, ventilator, or mechanical respirator may be required.
- Antiviral Medications or steroids can be given to those suffering from the effects of lung swelling

Transmission:
- SARS is transmitted through airborne droplets, but it can also be transmitted if an individual touches a surface that is covered with these droplets
