He believes his owner is his father, he sees his aunt get whipped

- LLoyd meets a slave on the road he doesn't know is his, they speak and he ends up sending him to the slave trade in Georgia.
- Douglass describes when once a slave went into the river to relieve himself from whippings, he was ordered to get out, did not, and was shot dead.
