Description:

This is important because it lead to the failure of the Schleiffen Plan. Germany got to France through Belgium and Britain sent a demand to Germany to withdrawal from the neutral Belgium. France and Russia were then against Germany. This also is important because Germany suffered when they were unable to defeat France quickly. Their whole plan failed.
