Description:
A 220 mile march led by James Meredith from Memphis Tennessee to Jackson Mississippi. This march was highly publicized and attended by MLK, Stokley Carmichael and numerous other figures in the Black liberation movement. It encompassed an assassination attempt of James Meredith and the debut of the popularized call for Black Power.
