Description:
Formed by Nissei community that advocated for Japanese Americans. Influenced giving voice to Japanese during the internment and became one of the few organizations that remained after WWII. Its goal was to respond to issues that enhanced/ threatened human rights of Americans and offered strategies for positive change. Oldest and largest Asian-American civil rights organization that honored each diversity by respecting their values, maintaining equality, and social justice.
