Description:

Ends Asian exclusion. Abolished "alien ineligible for citizenship" category from US immigration law, which only applied to people of Asian descent. Small, token quota of 105 granted to Asian countries. Allows Asians to immigrate and become citizens. Door opened for spouses of US citizens regardless of race and ethnicity.
