Description:

Henry clay promotes William Henry Harrison to be the face of the New Whig party which consisted of old Federalists mostly. He tried to run 3 candidates in 1836 against Martin van Buren but lost. He however won in 1840 with Harrison. Harrison died shortly after inaguration and Clay was unable to pull the strings of then vice president John Tyler.
