Description:
Henry Clay drafted a compromise to keep the union happy over the sectional debate over slavery. Here are the terms
1. Missouri would become a slave state with no restrictions.
2. Maine (used to be part of Mass) would be admitted as a free state. (Keep the balance in the senate).
3. Missouri Compromise line which is the southern border of Missouri dividing free states and slave states.
