Description:

Measles was traced back to 900 AD in writings about it being worse than smallpox

Andrew Wakefield:
Produced a Lancet article about how vaccinations cause autism with no real science and has caused people to cease vaccinations for themselves and children.

Symptoms:High fever
- Cough
- Runny nose
- Red eyes
-Reddish rash all over the body
- Sometimes fatal

Treatment:
Easily preventable with vaccinations and was close to eradication.

History:
-Moved to America in the 1600s
-Virus identified in 1954
-Vaccine developed in 1960s.
-1998 the Lancet Article by Andrew Wakefield was published before getting retracted.
