Description:

First recored case was in Egypt traced back to 1350 BC.

Symptoms:
-Fever
-Sore throat
-Headache
-Vomiting
-Fatigue
-Pain, stiffness and weakness
-Sometimes stops diaphragm from working which leads to death unless treated.

Treatment:
Both OPV and IPV vaccines. Iron lung for those who cannot breathe.

History:'
-1916 there were 27,000 infections and 6,000 deaths
-Almost completely eradicated today.
