Description:
Apollo 1 was designed to be the first in the Apollo series that eventually would get the USA to the moon. however due to a spark in one of the high oxygen environment simulations, all 3 american astronauts burned to death. because of the death of Gus Grissom, Roger B. Chaffee, and Ed White the Apollo program was almost shut down.Added to timeline:
