Description:

The Voting Rights Act was a sequel to the Civil Rights act of 1964. This was part of giving black people more rights and overall creating equality between the races. The Voting Act in particular gave blacks the rights to vote, this act removed the racist voting laws that were currently upheld by most southern states.
