Description:
English physicist best known as a pioneer of modern atomic theory. He based his model on Democritus' work. He believed that atoms were tiny spheres that could not be cut into anything smaller. Also, that atoms of a particular element were identical and that atoms could be combines in specific ratios to form new substances.
