Description:

Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome, or SARS, is a virus that causes a high fever, headaches, mild respiratory issues and possibly even diarrhea. It can even lead into pnuemonia. It's a type of coronavirus and in 2003 it started out in China before moving on to infect about 29 other countries according to the CDC site. It was contained and the last statistics about it happened in May of 2004 which believed that the chain of human-to-human infection had been broken. Carl Urbani discovered the virus and ended up dying of it during the outbreak.
