apr 8, 1989 - Tiananmem Square Attacks

Description:

These were protests occuring in 1989 regarding the current structure of government; student-led which called for more democracy. Many were concerned with the economy (market at the time) and believed the future was very bleak for China. This led to Tiananmen Square Massacre, resulted in many civilian deaths due to the Chinese Army preventing movement into Tiananmen Square to formally protest.
