The Gang of Four was a group of four members that enforced the ideals of the Cultural Revolution in 1966. These were prominent members of the Chinese Communist Party which carried out these ideals in many means possible. After Mao Zedong, they were accused of many treasonous crimes following the end of the Cultural Revolution and blamed by the Chinese government for the worst societal occurrences in China during the Revolution.Added to timeline:
