jan 23, 1813 - The River Raisin Massacre
Description:
The River Raisin Massacre was in Michigan on January 23, and 30 to 60 american soldiers were captured and murdered by the natives despite being promised safe passage to a fort where they would be held until the war was over. This ultimately only fueled American hatred of first nations.
