aug 16, 1812 - Hull Surrenders Detroit

Description:

The Michigan territorial governor William Hull attempted to enter Canada, but was driven back by General Sir Isaac Brock, and Tecumseh's warriors. According to history Brock sent an offering of surrender explaining that the large force of First nations would be, "out of my control." Hull lost his nerves, and surrendered the city to Brock and Tecumseh without a single casualty.
