Description:

Muhammed is by far the most important individual in Muslim history, as he was technically the creator. He grew up as a merchant, and most likely traded with Christians and Jewish merchants. In the middle of his life, he had a spiritual experience, in which he had an encounter with the 1 "true" god, Allah. As his new views spread, many people weren't happy and he was banished from Mecca. After spending a while there building up an army, he attacked Mecca and took the city over. He then began the spread of Islam, which is one of the biggest religions to this day. (3.2)
