Description:

The Ming Dynasty occurred soon after the Bubonic plague, and the fall of the Yuan dynasty (the Mongolian Dynasty). The dynasty was created by Hongwu, and he wanted to make it like the Chinese dynasties before the Mongols. He took a traditional Chinese government and made Mandarins, which were powerful Chinese officials that kept absolute obedience to the Government. The final thing that Hongwu set out to do was erraadicate all signs of the Mongols, and some examples of these things are clothes or names. (3.2)
