mar 22, 1765 - Stamp Act

Description:

A tax by the British Government taxing many items such as wills, diplomas, marriage papers, newspapers, almanacs, playing cards, dice, and other items. This act brought much protesting from the colonists in the forms of boycotting, petitions, and riots. The colonists were furious due to the fact that they had no say whatsoever in parliament or what items are taxed.
