jan 15, 1912 - Forest Schools and Open Air Schools

Description:

Forest schools were also opened in 1912 and later, Open Air schools were opened in 1916. These schools were intended for students with health problems, especially respiratory and children who were believed to easily contract tuberculosis (Ellis & Axelrod, 2016, p.6). Again, these students were segregated from "normal" children and were taught with "like" individuals.
