jan 13, 1910 - "Auxiliary Classes"
By 1910, segregated classes called "Auxiliary Classes" were suggested for students who were described as "mentally defective children" (Ellis & Axelrod, 2016, p.5). This was only the beginning and because of this movement, many various special education classes were created for a variety of students.
