Description:

In 2008, Justice Harry LaForme left the chairman of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission for residential schools. In a letter to Indian Affairs Minister Chuck Strahl, LaForme said his role of chairman of the commission raise doubt and protest by the panel's two commissioners, Claudette Dumont-Smith and Jane Brewin Morley.
