Description:
The Polish revolution began on November 29, 1830 in Warsaw, led by a group of young conspirators of the school of army officers who were soon backed by much of Polish society. Despite achieving some local victories, the uprising, turned into a true Russo-Polish war, was finally crushed by the numerically superior Russian army commanded by Ivan Paskevich at the Battle of Ostrołęka and at the Battle of Warsaw.
