Description:

Series of acts enacted by the British Parliament in direct response to the Boston Tea Party
- closed Boston Harbor until colonists paid for tea
- disbanded representative government (town-hall meetings)
- Quartering Act - colonists had to house and feed 10,000+ British troops that were sent to the colonies to keep order (mainly in Boston and the surrounding area)
