mar 9, 1897 - Malaria transmission
Description:
The malaria transmission from mosquito to human was discovered by Ronald Ross. He dissected an anopheles mosquito that fed on a patient who had malaria. He found that the mosquito was harboring malaria pathogens in the stomach, thus proving that the anopheles mosquito was instrumental in transmitting malaria to humans.
