jan 1, 1967 - The Omnibus Bill
Description:
When Pierre Trudeau was the Justice Minister he introduced the Omnibus Bill that stated that one can have a no fault divorce, birth control was legal, same-sex sexual relations were legal and one could access therapeutic abortion. By giving these rights, it allowed Canada to set a very good example for other countries because at the time women and homosexual people didn't have many rights around the world.
