Description:
George W. Bush appointed Neil Tyson twice, once per term. He served on the 12-member commision branch that studied the US's future in the aerospace industry. They wrote recommendations to Congress on what would benefit national security, transportation, and space exploration. On Bush's second term, Tyson led in a 9-member council for adding space exploration to America's agenda. This project then led him to become appointed by the head of NASA to the highly prestigious Advisory Council (Tyson, 2018).
