Description:

I was absolutely crushed to learn that we didn't win. I had spent 80 hour weeks working to talk to voters and make sure we had all of the votes we needed to win. The results were devastating. I wasn't able to go to school for the rest of the week, for my own safety. I even had a doctor mock me at an appointment just two days after the election, after seeing a political-themed shirt that I was wearing.
