dec 16, 1773 - Boston Tea Party
Description:
Leading up to the Boston Tea Party, the colonies were becoming increasingly angry with Great Britain for imposing taxes on them. The people of Boston were furious when they were told they can only buy tea from the British East India Company. In protest, the sons of liberty, a group of colonists, dressed up as Native Americans and dumped 92,000 pounds of tea into the ocean.
