The Titanic sets sail and was supposed to be unsinkable. It an was only 5 days out when she hit an iceberg and sank in the Atlantic with the loss of many lives. This didn't affect the inflation level at all, but higher class consumers were more hesitant to spend money in the cruise industry. This didn't affect overall shipping though.
