Description:
The German democratic republic decided to start building a barbed wire wall in between west and east Berlin. It was meant to keep the people from the west side who were considered "fascists" out. The wall came to an end when it was announced that westerners would cross when ever they wanted. The wall was crossed over and parts were even destroyed.Added to timeline:
