jun 3, 1935 - On-To-Ottawa Trek

Description:

On June 3, 1935, in Vancouver and BC, a group of unemployed men came together and began to protest the dismal conditions in federal camps scattered throughout the western part of Canada. After two months of protesting in Vancouver and BC, The strikers figured that nothing could possibly go wrong, so they traveled east to complain to the Federal government. This was a big mistake, however, as it resulted in an absolute riot. Many men were killed and injured because of this.
