jan 18, 1935 - Bennett's New Deal
Description:
On January 18, 1935, Bennett introduced a deal to satisfy and to calm the Canadian citizens. In Bennett’s New Deal he wanted to tackle unemployment, social insurance, and the Dust Bowl Issue. Bennett attempted to do this by introducing several relief acts, such as the Unemployment Relief Act, and the Prarie Farm Rehabilitation Act. Despite his efforts, Bennett's plans ultimately failed, as he acted too little too late.
