Description:

Once I transitioned to public school in 8th grade, I met a girl named Suzanne, who remains my best friend. She introduced me to what later turned into an important website, Tumblr. Tumblr was always an interesting place for me, espcially because it was first explained to me as the "gay social media". A lot of users are of the LGBTQ+ community. According to Brammer, Tumblr and Twitter are favored by these folk because of the ability to be anonymous (Brammer, 2017). People feel like they can be more open about their sexuality and engage in dialogue, rather than seeing rough posts from their family members.
