Adam Smith publishes the Wealth of Nations. A book about economy. In this book, he suggested Laissez-Faire. Laissez-Faire is a free market based on minimal government restrictions as well as a division of labour. This theory of Laissez-Faire is what we, and other capitalist countries based their economic systems on. This was a major change from the Mercantile/Guild based economies.
