Description:

The date is the day it was signed- In the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty, the agreement was that both the US and USSR would physically disassemble some of their nuclear weapons. In order to be more secure, both parties felt that more restrictions needed to be made on weaponry and so they agreed on a certain amount that they could have for certain kinds of weapons.
