Description:

A medical officer investigated the conditions of these residential schools and focused on the health. His results were horrific. The death rate amongst the children at these Western Canada schools were 24%. Some of these deaths were caused by the lack of proper food, and others was diseases. The churches were blamed for not managing the schools right, but there was more blame on the government.
