The massacre of French Huguenots in Paris during the wedding of Henry of Navarre. Catherine de Médicis was behind it all and was carried out by Roman Catholic nobles. The massacre of just Huguenots soon turned into the massacre of neighbors and friends. Everyone turned on each other and totaled in 70,000 deaths. It cost France lots of money and brought up the forgotten tension between Roman Catholics and Huguenots,
